Description

Ferrum is seeking a highly self motivated AWS DevOps Engineer. The AWS DevOps Engineer will be working with the engineering team and focusing on AWS infrastructure and automation. When our engineers will post updates to the repositories and their full requests are approved we want our applications to go through a CI/CD process that runs automation tests and then deploys automatically on our cloud infrastructure including AWS etc. The candidate should have the ability and experience to execute, manage and maintain this process. 


Responsibilities 

• Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production system.

• Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems.

• Support CI/CD tools integration/ operations/ change management, and maintenance.

• Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems.

• Evaluation of new technology alternatives and vendor products.

• System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.

• Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions.

• Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements.

• Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on AWS platform.

• Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure.

• Experience with Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, ELK and deploying applications on AWS

• Candidate must have AWS Cloudfront exposure.

• Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements

• Expertise using Chef for configuration management

• Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform

• Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration. 

• Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tool.
